Education of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing Designed for those preparing to teach students who are deaf/hard of hearing in grades K-9 or 7-12. The interpreter preparation track provides a specialized sequence of course work and experiences related to sign language interpreting in academic community and specialized settings. Students will establish basic competence in sign language and then develope the skills of interpreting between English and American Sign Language. Designed for those preparing to teach students with mild or moderate special needs in grades K-9 or 7-12. Designed to provide the foundational skills for candidates who will pursue a graduate degree in speech-language pathology in either PK-12 school or medical settings. Designed to prepare elementary or secondary education candidates to teach American Sign Language. |
